Cityscape

2001

I love creating this type of quilt, an impossible figure quilt  with movement.  Are the shapes moving in or out?  Actually, they are doing all of the above!    To achieve this look, I used warm colors as the inner portion of the cube and cool colors to form a frame around the box.  The result is wonderful!

Ring Around the Posies

From my book Floral Illusions.  This book will be filled with floral designs with different types of illusions.  There is a sneak preview:  This quilt, Ring around the Posies, has the illusion of motion.  I love the way the flowers spin around the star design.  This is an easy quilt with a fantastic illusion of motion.

      Another quilt from Floral Illusions.  This quilt has the illusion of transparency.  I love the way the layers appear across the surface of this quilt.

One of my favorite quilts from Floral Illusions.  This quilt has the illusion of motion and the illusion of curves.  I love the secondary design in the background.

I love creating this type of quilt, an quilt with the illusion of depth. It looks like 3-D diamonds. However, it is all an illusion! This quilt is easy to make with half-square triangles.

Celtic Rings

I love creating this type of quilt, an quilt with the illusion of transparency.  The rings look like they are woven and transparent.  I love Celtic Art and designed this quilt to reflect Celtic inspiration.
